These curlers work quickly to curl your hair and the clips are nice. I just wish there were more of the jumbo size rollers. If you want really curly hair, this is the setter for you. If you want big curls and lots of volume, keep looking!

Be aware that many models are NOT ionic

PROS

  • Heats Up Fast

CONS

  • Limited Settings
  • May not be ionic

BEST USES

Comments:

Some sites erroneously listing models as being ionic and they are NOT. Go by model number. The model number with an I in it is a good idicator that it is an ionic model. For example I purchased one model, Conair CHV26HX from another site. Picture looked just like the one shown here. They description showed this exact same pic as here. Features listed were not accurate. No ionic ports, no split cover or separate on/off switches, no metal clips, roller sizes smaller than described. Ask questions before ordering from anywhere. In general,a ionic site is more expensive and feature rich.

The curls were nice but did not last as long as I hoped, maybe because the curl did not wrap tight or maybe it's just my hair type. Always having to replace the roller holder clips to heat them up took extra time.

Doesn't work as well as a curling iron.

i use it for special occasions because it doesnt hold for very long with my thick hair. with the curls that they produce, i would rather use a more uniformed curling iron, because the curls are very random (not in the good way)

Comments:

I have a great curl to my hair, not super-curly, but adequate. The problem is that it doesn't curl the direction I'd like for it to, so I have to utilize tools. These rollers were very difficult to get into my hair, and the clips definitely didn't hold them. Not to mention you can only heat 3 clips at a time and must store the rest 'somewhere' else. I purchased the Conair clips separately, and they were pretty good at holding the rollers in place. When I removed them, my hair was so frizzy! I have tried on 3 different occasions, leaving the rollers in for longer/shorter times, with the same results. I've used hot rollers almost my entire life and never had this result, so these will be returned.

Comments:

I have longer hair (6" below my shoulders), somewhat layered - I had to do my hair twice just to get an equal affect. This is not time saving nor was the look I hoped to achieve there. I was looking for a better method than the curling iron - this did not do the job.

miss my 30 year old conair curlers that pooped out. This set has cheesy plastic clips that don't hold the curlers well in your hair, frustrating for sure.

The clips are a great idea, but when putting new ones in to heat up, its very easy to burn yourself and the clips(other than the original 3) never really heat up.

BEST USES

Comments:

I need hair appliances that are quick and easy to use. I found these curlers to be neither. Although they did heat up quickly, I was only able to hold one small part o the curler to roll my hair. This was awkward and the clip left roller marks after I took the curler out. Granted, it may have been my inexperience with hot rollers but, I definitely do better with a curling iron.

PROS

  • Heats Up Fast

CONS

  • Clips dent hair

BEST USES

Comments:

Rollers are both Shorter and Smaller in circumference than typical rollers. Even with fine hair it's difficult to fit hair around the largest size roller without hair hanging off the roller. Clips put dent in hair. I have fine hair cut in a bob. I used hot styling spray with rollers. These did not work well for my style and texture of hair.

  • Heat up fast

CONS

  • Clips leave mark
  • Does not curl very well

BEST USES

Comments:

I purchased this set of curlers to try a new style on my hair. I have very thin hair. After using the curlers I found that the clips leave a mark on your hair, getting rid of the "dent" was difficult. The curlers didn't get as hot as expected, therefore did not put out a good curl. It could probably work better on different types of hairs but you will still have the problem with the dent left by the clips. The compartment for the clips was neat, except there were 2 problems. First, the clips because inside the case got hotter than the actual curlers themselves. It would of been nice for the entire set of clips to have there own compartment rather than just a few.
