Comments: I use this for everyday wear with the matte shades, but the glittery shades are great for going out. I love the colors, they go on we'll, stay on all day, and I get lots of compliments:) |

Comments: I use this eye shadow over an eye primer. With the primer set, it's a very quick job to add eye liner, then use the brown color to define the crease and outer eye, then one of the lighter colors to blend. The shadow blends very well. It lightens up a bit over the day, but I find I like it just as well when I get home from work as when I start out for the day. |

Comments: I took a chance and ordered this palette online without actually seeing it in the store. I wasn't too worried as everything I've purchased from Smashbox has been great. I was looking for an everyday palette that wasn't too boring, and was versatile in it's color combination. I love this palette!!!! It gives the perfect daytime neutral eye that still has some color to it. I personally love a dark, dramatic eye....but I work in a conservative environment so most of the other shadow colors I own aren't appropriate. One thing I do particularly love about this is the dual ended brush which has a flat shader brush on one end, and a small flat end which I use to apply the dark brown shadow as a liner once I've applied the lid/crease colors I want to use. I don't have to worry about applying a separate eyeliner. Love it. :) |

CONS BEST USES Comments: I have become a palette junky--Naked, Naked 2, Lorac Pro, Sigma's eye palettes, The Balm's Nude tude, Smoked, etc..... . I passed by the Smashbox display at Ulta and these colors caught my eye. So beautiful, warm, modernly classic. ----Put my finger in the display palette to swatch and yum --- creamy, buildable, beautiful pigments. This is my first Smashbox purchase and I can say I am not sorry. The colors are gorgeous, blendable, buildable, buttery yumminess. You get 3 shimmers/satins-- not too shiny or glittery, 3 mattes all butter--a great full size mirror in the compact perfect to toss in your bag. The duel ended brush is not too bad either--one side smudge/line, the other blend, shade, pat etc. --perfect to use for a touch up--not that you'll need to. You can get a great easy light neutral, natural day look and then deepen it for an evening smoky eye. The espresso matte brown is stunning--not too red and not too gray, perfect to use as a liner or to define your crease for an evening look. The shimmer eggplant and rust colors are so subtle and lovely--and buildable--make them deeper darker as you see fit. The subtle sweet pink perfect highlight--not too white or shiny. The satin mushroom so lovely, a perfect not quite gray, not quite brown perfection as a transition color or on it's own. This is THE perfect palette for your fall- winter wardrobe and beyond! |
