I wear Benefit's BAD GAL waterproof mascara and never ran into any issues with smudging until I used this product. It wasn't until I read the ingredients label that I figured out why: petroleum is the main ingredient! It also settles into the fine lines around your eyes-- I smile a lot and had to constantly wipe under my eyes to smooth the concealer back into place (though I'm sure I was removing it more than smoothing it). Because it's #1 ingredient is petroleum, I would NEVER recommend it for concealing blemishes. It does do a great job at brightening however, so if you're doing contour make-up, it will probably be a great tool.
