I had one of those no-name hair straighteners before this one, so when I turned on this one I set it to the hottest setting, which essentially damaged my ends. I got those trimmed and use a lower heat setting. But instead of taking an hour, it takes me 20 minutes. Fabulous product!

I have really thick hair and it gets so hot I only use it around heat setting 23! It makes my hair noticably shinier, thinner, and very straight...I love it!

I thought that getting a Chi straightener would be great. It straightens beautifully. Your hair looks great right after. But about an hour later, the ends of my hair look like poorly.

Don't get me wrong, I love this hair dryer, it dries my hair in a few go troughs since my hair is fine, but it does get kind of hot which I am afraid of damaging my hair, not sure, I hate putting too much product in my hair so I don't like using leave in heat protector. So I prefer something with less heat, the low heat seating isn't hot enough, but the high is too too hot. My step daughter has thick curly hair and it works great on her hair and leaves her hair nice and straight...

I really like this product! My hair damages anyway with any straightener, but it really does the job SUPER quickly on my wavy hair. I would recommend this if you don't want to spend $100 on a chi.

Ive used this flat iron for over 5 years now and can say that in comparison to the Chi or any other competitive flat iron that Ive tried, this is by far the best! The hinges are smooth and close on the hair evenly... giving it great shine and making it super smooth and straight, without snagging. I flat iron my hair almost every day and this iron has given me the least amount of damage (and my hair is way fine/ thin) and does not snag or feel coarse in the least bit. Compared to top notch expensive salon flat irons and for the decent price, this is definitely worth the investment!!

This was the first Chi I purchased and I had high expectations. I can say that I liked how my hair looked style-wise when I used this Ultra Chi but my hair did not feel soft or have a shiny appearance even though I used the proper heat serum and whatnot. This flat iron also gets insanely hot and there is no way to adjust this. The worst part was the amount of hair that I saw being ripped out by the Ultra Chi. Strands of hair would get caught under the plates and it didn't matter if I sectioned my hair into smaller sections or not. My hair looked good but I had less hair after each styling! It was so not worth it! The Ultra Chi went back.

I have the CHI with the rhinestones all over it and not only do they fall out but the can not be replaced! it makes a squeking sound when you open and close it.
