I learned from Devacurl that the best way to hydrate hair is to co-wash, leave Devacurl conditioner in your hair, then apply this gel. My hair dries with a cast that once I scrunch and diffuse, my curls are defined and beautiful. This process is invaluable during very humid days.

This is my favorite Ouidad product of all time!!!! I have really dry, coarse, tightly curled curly hair (I'm Dominican), that has been chemically processed, colored, and heat damaged. This is the first product that I apply to my hair after washing it and I can see a notable difference in my hair when I don't use it. After years of straightening my hair with a flat iron, there are certain parts of my hair that don't curl anymore - with this product, those sections are able to curl (not perfectly but definitely noticeably more so than without it). It is a luxurious thick cream and when I apply it to my hair, I can feel and see how it moisturizes and nourishes it. For the people who applied it and were left with residue - you probably used this product incorrectly. Because my hair is so dry and tightly curled, it makes sense that I use it as a leave-in. If you have fine or thin hair, I would definitely not recommend you leave this in your hair. Also, this hair product is not meant to be used alone as a styling product. You are supposed to maybe use one small palmful on your entire head as a primer or rinse it out if you use it in the shower. I personally only use a small amount in my palm and spread it throughout all of my hair, which is pretty long despite being tight curls. This product is meant to help better curl damaged hair and serve as a base for the rest of your styling products. I can't rave enough about this product - it is a holy grail product for me and despite the price point, I can't live without it.

When I use this spray I go really light on conditioner. The product will not work as well if u heavily condition before use. I wrap my hair in a towel and let it sit for a few minutes, take off the towel and finger comb just a little at the roots. Spray the product all over my hair and scrunch all the way to the roots. I then use paper towels and scrunch again using the paper towels to remove extra water. Then using my dryer on low and medium heat with the diffuser attachment on I dry my hair. Once dry I lightly spray hairspray and I'm good to go! Beachy waves without the beach! Btw I love the coconut smell of this product!

I can't live without it now! My hair is very wavy and frizzy and the texas humid weather makes my hair crazy but this calms the frizz and smooths my hair so I can wear it naturally wavy and not have to worry about it ending up frizzy through out the day

I use this product on and off. I normally use it after I have used dry shampoo on my hair for a day or two. Aside from smelling absolutely intoxicating, it softens my hair whilst strengthening it. My hair has never held onto my scalp more. I've used this for about two-three months, and am more than satisfied.
