Although my eyelids are oily, I have found if I apply the pencils over an eye shadow primer (TFSI), and "set" the colors with powder shadow in the same shade, my eye look will last all day and into the night with little or no creasing. The NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils are one of my most favorite makeup products, because they are so versatile. I'd like to address two issues that come up in discussions of these pencils not only here, but on other forums as well. First, if you didn't buy the NYX sharpener, Milani makes one that is the correct size for sharpening the NYX Jumbo's. Second, I prevent the pencil caps from cracking with this trick: tear off a piece of 3/4" wide invisible scotch tape about 1/8" longer than the circumference of the cap. Carefully line up the long edge of the tape with the very edge of the cap, and apply the tape strip, overlapping the ends by about 1/8". (You only need one strip of tape - you don't need to cover the entire cap). This reinforcement will help prevent the cap from cracking. If the cap has already cracked, the tape will help keep those cracks from "spreading" when you put the cap back on, preventing you from pushing the cap down too far. That can lead to the point of the pencil being jammed into, and getting smooshed by, the end of the cap.

Since I got it I've been finding myself reaching for this instead of the Urban Decay primer. Not only do I like that it costs less, I also like the pot and I like how smoothly it applies. It feels good and is easy to apply. My eyes aren't that oily so I can't speak to how it might wear on someone with oilier lids, but it seems to work pretty well for me. I tend to use it more to intensify shadows than the to avoid creasing, but I did notice a little bit of creasing one night when I wore it out to a club.

After watching several beauty gurus use this product over and over again I had to give it a try. I purchased Milk and I love using it under any and all of my eyeshadows. It definitely needs to be applied on top of a primer because it creases very easily, but I love it nonetheless. Will continue to purchase!

I tried it to see what it was, and i was pretty impressed. I use it with a base and usually apply eyeshadow over it. Unfortunately, i notice by the time i get home it's starting to crease, but all in all it's a pretty good product.

There are many things that I like about this product, but there are a few things that I do not like. This eyeshadow wears off easily, even when I use a great primer. It also creases sometimes. But I really like how you take the product from the back so it always looks brand new, even when you have used it for quite a while. I also like how there is a mirror inside and it is inexpensive. I probably won't be purchasing this again though because it doesn't really work for me and I know that there are better eyeshadows out there. But my friend reccommended it to me and she says it works great for her, so I'm sure it works well for others too.

I have all of the Urban Decay shadow boxes. I like them better than the tins because I've had a lot of the tins break and then I'm out $18 with a full tin of eyeshadow. Urban Decay blends well and is easy to apply. I have have better luck with less falling onto my face and leaving a ton of glitter when I wet my eyeshadow brush. It kind of gives you more control as well. These colors work really well together.

I purchased 550 enchanted. All of the colors are nice and apply well. For those with oily skin, it may be to your advantage to use a primer because there is a bit of creasing.

I bought this in 2 colors and I love it. Many other people use it as a cream color base, but on me it creases, however everyone has different eyelids, so on some people it works. It still makes a beautiful shimmery eyeliner and I'm very happy with it. I like the NYX brand.

I used this product as a base. It helped my eyeshadow color pop and stand out more vibrant. It is not so good when applied by itself, it will fade and not stay long.

Product is really great but didn't stay on the length advertised. I have sensitive eyes and found it to be slightly irritating. Beautiful colors. I purchased the entire set!

Great product and I will buy again, on me however, midway through the day the color is smudging but I carry a eyeshadow brush with me and blend it back in and I am good to go!

I use the NYX jumbo pencils as base colors for other eyeshadows. I tried wearing it alone the other day but it had completely faded within 4 hours! However, it does make other eyeshadows pop when applied correctly, and is so great for a smokey eye.

I got this in 'platinum'. It's really pretty and the color payoff is great. I'm definately going to buy more of these. It did crease.. but with a good primer it probably wouldn't.
