I've used a couple epilators and this one gives me the closest shave. This product has 2 speeds and a light. I didn't think the light was that big of a deal, but I use the light everytime that I epilate.

I bought this mostly for the tiny epilator, but have found the trimmer to be incredibly versatile and does a great job on the general "bikini" area. I love that it charges with a wall plug - I hate wasting batteries! The attachments are all useful...the trick is just to make sure you clean out the trimmings on a regular basis.

I LOVE this epilator! I have dark thicker hair and use to hate the fact that even after I would shave I could still see my dark hair roots under the skin that made a dark shadow. With this, it's really quick and easy to remove hair from the root. I would say its like waxing but with no mess and a lot easier and faster! The first time you us it, it will hurt like a mother. but after that you won't even flinch, maybe just a little in your bikini area. I always use it the night before going to the beach or something that involves showing off your skin. the results last me about a week till a few hairs start to show, but nothing to noticeable. the hair gets finer each time & eventually starts to take longer to grow back!! Ive been using it for about 3 months now and my hair grows in really thin, and i love it! Oh btw it's best to do tight after a hot shower when the hair is softest.

This is the 2nd epilator by Braun I've owned...I love it. I did try another brand after I lost my first one on a trip...and I was not happy. Instead of pulling out the hair, it would rip it and I was getting in-grown hair which I never had with this product. The brisel brushs on each side of the tweezer also helps in raising and lifting the hair so you don't have to make to many passes. It was never painful to use, but waxing isn't painful for me either. I think it would vary for each individual. I use it pretty much everywhere.

Great for removing "peach fuzz" on my face (female) and those pesky chin hairs. It also worked great to trim my nape/neck (I wear my hair very short). I found that my skin does best if I apply a lotion after I use the shaver.

I have used the Braun Silk Epil for about 20 years, and it dramatically reduced the hair growth. I only do my legs about every 8 weeks! It's great!
