I love this color, since I'm a big fan of glitter. Please note that the color of the glitter appears red and white in the bottle, but it's actually more like hot pink and white. Regardless, it looks awesome! I tried it as a top coat over white on one hand & over the same shade of pink/purple on the other, because I couldn't make up my mind which one to do. I like it on white better. I used it as a top coat over pale pink(French Manicure color)on my toes and it looks just as good as on the white. This color would also look great on top of a brighter-hot-pinkish color & probably on silver as well. It also looks good as a glitter clear coat. If you use about 3 applications, you can easily completely cover your nails, so it will work well by itself, too. As are all glitter polishes by OPI, it is sturdy and difficult to remove unless you peel it off, but you should soak first, peel off the loose pieces, then take the rest off with polish remover, but be careful not to split and damage your nails!

I bought the kit and a couple of Red Carpet polish colors. My first manicure was a french and it came out perfect! My second manicure was with a different brand of gel color but it still worked perfectly. My manicures have lasted at least 2 weeks with minimal peeling. One thing about this system is that you must apply with care and follow the instructions carefully. Its not difficult to apply but it can be tedious. You can't leave gel on your skin or cuticles or it will peel. I was pleased that it was compatible with a different brand of gel color. That opens up possibilities for colors because the red carpet colors are somewhat limited. The remover works really well and doesn't strip your nails. I strongly recommend getting the remover wraps that they sell.
